Back in the 1970s, Richard Bandler and John Grinder decided to seek out the best communicators and therapists at the time. Grinder was a professor of linguistics and Bandler had a background in psychology, and they discussed how the two overlapped. This was the start of NLP and what is based on! They were curious and fascinated to study how excellent therapists had been producing results over many years (therapists like Milton Erikson, Fritz Pearl & Virginia Satir). What is it that made these people different at what they did, how did they manage to produce consistently great results for their clients. It was these early studies that lead to what Bandler and Grinder describe as a philosophy (a way of thinking) and a trial of techniques emerged and have evolved over the years, which today can be distilled into processes and an insightful mindset that we can learn and apply to achieve our desired outcomes. NLP can help you too – it’s particularly effective when it comes to making changes both personally and professionally; whether your in business, looking for personal growth or professional development, teach/train/coach, want to improve your health, are a sports professional, a celebrity … it doesn’t matter what your walk of life is, as long as you have an open and curious mind NLP can help you exponentially.
