Hypnosis – Practitioner

Our Practitioner Hypnosis Courses are either standalone weekend introduction to hypnosis or as follow on from your NLP Practitioner certification. As part of your Time Line Therapy™ / NLP Coach / Hypnosis course, you will spend two days of this course on hypnosis.

There are two things that will give you a great start in creating a fantastic hypnosis session. The first is rapport, and the second is your language.

When you learn about rapport on your NLP Practitioner course, you will learn about using it for effective communication. But simply using it as the basis for a hypnotic trance is an invaluable tool.

You will start out with basic exercises, simply practicing the use of rapport in a hypnosis context. This will show you how effective this tool is, and will also start to embed the use of it in every session you do with a client.

To add to this, your use of language is integral to the effectiveness of how we use hypnosis in NLP, and our NLP Practitioners have a high standard of training in using their language in a specific way. The more aware we are of our language, the more effective the use of hypnosis.

Again, in order to build your confidence and embed your use and understanding of all the techniques and tools we teach you, you will go through simple exercises that build upon each new element of hypnosis that you learn. This makes your understanding and learning of how to use hypnosis extremely easy and very effective.

Among other things, you will learn:

  • The history of hypnosis
  • What it is
  • What it isn’t
  • How to frame a session with a client
  • How to structure a session with a client
  • The different stages of hypnosis
  • Ericksonian hypnosis – how it works and how to use it
  • How to design your own Ericksonian inductions
  • Post-hypnotic suggestions, and how to embed them
  • Utilising metaphors in hypnosis
  • How to deliver a full hypnosis session with a client – without using any scripts!
  • Why it is important  not to use a script during hypnosis
  • Contraindications – understanding when not to use hypnosis
  • The general pendulum paradigm

In addition, you will learn about the most well-known and effective hypnotherapists of all time. You will understand how and why they did what they did, and learn in an effective way how you can utilise their expertise.

Over the course of your hypnosis training, you will go through a number of exercises that will allow you to build your confidence in your language, hypnosis abilities and understanding of how to work with a client.

You will be able to put together a successful session of hypnotherapy without using any scripts – the most effective form of hypnosis.

We point out the lack of using scripts because this is a highly underrated form of hypnosis. The greatest hypnotherapists of all time simply used their language and focus on their client during a session – your results are likely to be severely impeded by using a script!

Hypnosis – Master Practitioner

You will learn even more techniques and uses of powerful and ethical hypnosis as a Master Practitioner, once you’ve come to grips with all the basics from your first course.

You will learn a little more about the background of a wider range of hypnotherapists. Your understanding of more history and uses of hypnosis as well as additional types of inductions means you will have a wider range of tools to tailor any induction or hypnosis session to any client that you have.

Please note, your Hypnosis Master Practitioner is included in your NLP Master Practitioner, and takes place during the second week of your NLP Master Practitioner course. You will still receive a separate certificate qualifying you as a Master Practitioner of Hypnosis.

Some of the things you will cover:

  • Recap of the stages of hypnosis
  • Recap of multiple embedded metaphors
  • Recap of Ericksonian inductions
  • Introduction to direct-authoritarian hypnosis
  • Progressive inductions
  • More deepening techniques
  • Elman induction, including ‘pre-talk’
  • Convincers
  • Post-Hypnotic suggestions with amnesia

Our hypnosis training works the same as all of our other courses. You will have qualified trainers taking you through every step in a logical structure. You will see demonstrations of hypnosis inductions, learn how to use hypnosis with others, how it works, what to do, how to tailor it to every individual, and how to structure the use of hypnosis with a client.

So, our hypnosis courses are very in-depth and useful – they can be fast-paced and very effective in the depth of knowledge you gain. Again, you will experience as well as practice all of the exercises that we run, in a safe, comfortable and very relaxing environment!
